Brent and Beth Woodard have been missionaries at Camp Ozone since 2015. For 12 years before that they were missionaries at our sister camp, Camp Grace, in North Carolina. Brent is our Area Director and Beth is our bookkeeper, webmaster, and main cook. Homeschooling their four children, the Woodards also keep busy with many animals, which are used in outdoor education classes.
James and Jamie Priest joined us in Fall of 2020. James is a graduate of Toccoa Falls Bible College and Jamie graduated from the CBM national internship program. They were our senior program leadership for the summer of 2019. They will serve full time on staff in the roles of general program ministry leadership and oversight of our Released Time Bible classes with the local public school students. If you are interested in joining their ministry team we would love to put you in touch with them!
Rebecca Evans is from McDonough, GA and attended Toccoa Falls College with a focus in youth ministry. Rebecca also served in the 1 year CBM internship which included Bible and service training at our National offices, site rotations at multiple CBM camps, and a mission trip with The Filling Station in Honduras. She has a passion for mentoring and discipling teens. Rebecca serves in the role of Program Assistant (focusing on teen ministries) and Recruiting Coordinator for summer camps and retreats. She joined us in January 2021! If you would like to join with Rebecca as a financial support partner as she works toward reaching 100% of her support or to speak with her more about the ministry here at Camp Ozone, send us a message!
Avery and Lauren have been married for just over a year and are very excited to follow the call God has placed on their hearts to serve together at Camp Ozone. Both Avery and Lauren have a passion for sharing the Gospel through camp ministry, each having worked for multiple summers at CBM Camp Grace in Fairmont, North Carolina. Avery is from Laurinburg, North Carolina, and graduated from Montgomery Community College’s Forest Management Department. He loves the outdoors and is looking forward to developing an outdoor education program at Camp Ozone that will help children see the beauty and handiwork of God through His creation. Avery also has experience in construction and plans to serve through groundskeeping and maintenance work. Lauren is from Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from the Global Ministries Department at Toccoa Falls College. Lauren’s current ministry goals at Camp Ozone are to assist Avery in the development of the outdoor education program, as well as maintain communication, build relationships, and give biblical instruction to the children of the community through mailbox club lessons. Please be in prayer for Avery and Lauren as they begin the process of raising support. They are excited to come on staff as soon as the Lord paves way through bringing together their support team. If you are interested in supporting the Berdeaus or would like to contact them for more information, please contact our offices and we will put you in touch!
We are praying fervently for the next missionaries that God will send here to Camp Ozone. We are in need of missionaries to head up Maintenance, Facilities, and groundskeeping. If you feel a call to these positions, then please contact us!
